A Christmas Blessing....

We decided that since Dave’s siblings would all be in town, we should bless the baby while we were all there. Not everyone came or was able to make it. It was done the day after Christmas and it was a really special day! We did the blessing at Dave’s parent’s house where their Bishop came to oversee it. After wards, we had corn chowder, chili, rolls, and salad for lunch! My family was missed!!!

Dave, his dad, his Grandpa Bartlett, his brother Matt, his brother-in-law Tom, and his dad’s bishop all stood in the circle.

Porter was given such a special, sweet blessing. He really is such an amazing little baby. At church this past Sunday, (in my parents ward) the bishops wife told my mom and I that when her husband came home from the blessing he had tears in his eyes. His wife asked him why he was emotional and he proceeded to tell her that he had just come from the McKenna home where Porter was blessed. He told his wife that the spirit was so strong during and after the blessing. The bishop was very touched.

It really was a special day. We are so grateful to have been a part of it.

PS Thanks for letting us use the car seats. It is so nice not to bring ours from MI.
